First-time mom baby must-haves!

So you already probably know that I’m a first-time mom, and like most first-time mom’s I wanted to buy everything that Babies R Us had. I put together a little list of all the products I couldn’t live without. All my baby must-haves! My Son was born in April so my list will probably be different then if you were to have a baby in the winter. But these products saved my sanity that’s for sure.

1. Baby Einstein Star Bright.

Okay, so this toy Baby Einstein Star Bright Symphony saved me time and sanity… I will be buying this for every person that I know that has a baby. When my son was a newborn I could lay him down on his play mat and hang this little star and he would be happy and be playing for at least 20 minutes and that would give me time to clean the kitchen or eat or get dressed. This little star is $20 but in my opinion, it is worth so much more! Worth the buy.

2. Baby Einstein Mobile, Sea Dreams.

So we didn’t purchase this till we transitioned our son to his crib at 3 months old. I believe this helped him transition and he still uses it every night and he’s 13 months old. It comes with a little seashell remote as well so you can sneak in and turn it on without them seeing you. It has a couple different settings depending on what you want. 1. music, light and fish moving. 2. Just music and 3. Sea sounds. There is also two levels of sound depending on how loud you want it. Baby Einstein Mobile, Sea Dreams is part of our bedtime routine and we love it.

3. Babymoov Anti UV Tent.

My Son was born in April so we had to be very careful with the sun that summer and since we love to be outside and boating along with camping we hunted for baby products that would help and thats how we found :
Babymoov Anti-UV Tent – Pop-Up Sun Shelter for Infants and Toddlers With Ultra Light Carry Bag for Outdoors & Beac  This little tent was amazing! We could lay some blankets down and toys and he could sleep in there safe from the sun. It did take us a while to figure out how to fold it up properly to be put back in the bag lol. This little Youtube video helped.

4. Bassinet.

I know not everyone believes in a bassinet or a crib or prefers co-sleeping but for us, we loved having our little guy beside us at night safe in his bassinet ( till he was 3 months and then he was in his crib) We used Bily B3350BUN Rocking Bassinet, Grey/off-white It rocks, plays nice music and also has a little quick light.

5. Muslin Swaddle Blankets.

These swaddle blankets are so much more than just a swaddle. They were perfect for when I was breastfeeding in the summer. They weren’t heavy so Noah wasn’t getting hot while eating. They were perfect for a light blanket if it was breezy. Perfect for a quick play mat. They were just great overall to have on hand.

6. Video Monitor.

We started off with just a regular sound monitor but I didn’t have peace of mind. Once we switched to a video monitor it made everything easier. I was able to see what he was doing and how warm his room was and even talk to him through the monitor. It also made sleep training so much easier. I was able to see what he was doing and if he really needed me or if he was just crying. It also gave me more freedom, I could go outside and sit on the deck and still know he was okay.

7. 4moms Raockaroo.

This swing is amazing! I could put Noah down and he would be so content. That’s all that needs to be said. This swing made my baby stop crying and kept him happy!

These baby must-haves made the newborn stage so much easier for me! I hope that some of these products make it just a bit easier for you too! Leave a comment and let me know what products helped you and what you would recommend.
